Graduation Flowers in Dubai: What to Send and When

Graduation season in the UAE runs from May into June, with a second wave for international programmes later in the year. It is one of the few occasions where the flowers get carried, photographed and passed around for two hours — which changes what you should send.

Send something that can be held

A graduate is already holding a certificate, a cap, a phone and usually someone's hand. The bouquet has to survive all of that.

• Wrapped bouquets photograph best in someone's arms, which is the picture the family will keep. The Designer Graduation Bouquet at AED 190 and the Graduation Cap Bouquet at AED 255 are built for this.

Colour, and the gown problem

Every photograph on the day has a gown in it, and gown colours in the UAE are usually black, navy or deep green. That is the real constraint.

• Against black or navy: white, cream, blush and bright yellow all lift. The Blush Graduation Box at AED 115 or the Pastel Graduation Arrangement at AED 200.
• Against deep green: white and gold read cleanest.
• Avoid deep burgundy and dark purple — they disappear into a dark gown and the photo looks like the graduate is holding nothing.

Timing, which is the hard part

• Do not deliver to the ceremony venue. Halls will not hold flowers, and the graduate is not reachable. Deliver to the home before, or to the restaurant after.
• Book the slot the day before. On the product page you choose the exact date and time. Graduation mornings are our busiest slots in May and June.
• Give us a phone number for someone who is not the graduate if it is a surprise — a parent or a sibling. Our driver calls before arriving.

• "You did the work. Everyone else just watched."
• "Proud is not a big enough word today."
• "Congratulations, doctor / engineer / graduate. Now rest."
